*** THURSDAY, AUGUST 11 @ 7:00: STREET DANCE IN FRONT OF THE BLUE RIDER!!! Bitemarks/Atom’s Rite/The Morning Red/Crooked Gospel/The High Water Low Lifes/Special Guest: Chris Sand the Rappin’ Cowboy. Sorry, kids – it’s 21+ but there’s a lot of awesome that will be happening. Out of towners, if you’re lookin’ to come early – this is gonna rule!!! It’s a fundraiser for Why Not?!?!
*** Well, this years’ theme is FLOOD RATS FIGHT BACK…or
something funnier and catchier that you come up with…Friday, August 12 we will
be FIGHTING BACK as a large group! Details are being worked out now so
if you’d like to see where your BENEFIT MONEY and what-not is going, or
you just want to gawk – I don’t blame you – we’ll be going in and demolishing
mold-crusted walls, etc. It will be over by about 4pm, just in time to get a
shower and head to the show! BRING GLOVES/MASKS if you’ve got them;
we’ll have some on hand too! MEET AT
PANGEA HOUSE AT 10:00AM FRIDAY!
*** FOOD!!! Details to come, but every night (Friday, Saturday, Sunday – in the afternoon though) we will be feeding the out of town acts!!! Okay, locals. You can get some grub too! SUNDAY AT 5:30 @ OTIS AND JAMES…It will all be vegan friendly and really tasty! Some of it will be prepared by JOSHUA PLOGUE…and he’s an author of cookbooks and stuff.
*** ABOUT 10:30//11pm FRIDAY NIGHT: LUCY’S AMUSEMENT PARK will open its doors to just us dirty musician types! It’s a $10.50 flat-fee for ALL THE MINI GOLF AND AMUSEMENT RIDES YOU WANT!! It’s really, really awesome and they have one of those GIANT SLIDES and they turn on the flood lights and make us a fire pit!!! I do believe there will be IMPROV COMEDY @ LUCY’S AS WELL!!!
*** 8PM SATURDAY NIGHT: meet at Pangea House; there’s a ZOMBIE WALK!!! So, bring makeup if you want to do this! SHOULD BE A BLAST. Brains not necessary.
*** SATURDAY NIGHT about 10:30//11pm at Pangea House: LAMPSHADE BRIGADE PRESENTS IMPROV COMEDY!!! And they’re good too…and I heard they’re gonna have some ringers from the Twin Cities helpin’ ‘em out! And…well, if you can’t catch ‘em this time…you’ll have at least three chances to see them…including LUCY’S, and the final show @ OTIS & JAMES!!!
*** SPEAKING OF THE FINAL SHOW…about 7PM we’ll be having the DAISY DUDES CONTEST – what’s that all about? BRING SOME CUTOFF SHORTS AND SHAKE THAT BOO-TAY…girls can play too…but we really, really doubt they will. 1ST PRIZE WINS BRAGGING RIGHTS…but who would want to brag about winning this thing? ME. THAT’S WHO.
